Your Community Hall Membership

 

Cedar Community Hall Association is a volunteer organization that maintains and operates the hall located at 2388 Cedar Road.

Residents of the Cedar area can become members of the hall association and participate in many aspects of the hall operation. (Voting at the Annual General Meeting, Volunteer to help with duties at the hall, Become a board or committee member and more)

In order to be a member you must live in one of the following municipal areas:

Cranberry
Cedar
North Oyster
Bright

If you would like to join the Cedar Hall Community Association please follow this link and download a membership form and submit it to us through email, drop it off or by mail. All new memberships have to be approved by the board to make sure they are inside the areas covered above. Membership is only $5.

If you are a current member you can also purchase a membership on line, an additional $0.65 per person will apply. ( Purchase Membership Online )

You are not a current member then you can send a digital copy of the membership form and pay for it online. The membership still has to go to the board for vetting and you will be notified. ( Purchase Membership Online )

In order to vote at the Annual General Meeting you must be a member in good standing that was approved at least 42 days prior to the AGM.

Members in good standing for over 1 year are:

1) Eligible for discounts on rentals
2) Eligible to vote at the AGM
3) Eligible to attend board meetings
4) Eligible to assist with committees

To purchase your membership on line please follow this link and purchase the membership as a ticket online,(feed apply) or send a cheques to Cedar Hall. You can also drop by on Tuesday mornings while there is a work crew on site and pay directly.

Volunteering

The Cedar Community Hall is owned and operated by the community. It is not owned by a corporation or the government. The hall is a charitable organization supported and run by volunteers.

The Association is run by a board of up to 12 directors, all volunteers from the community.

The day to day administration and maintenance also has to be done by volunteers to keep the cost of renting the hall to a minimum for the community.

If you can help with small jobs around the hall, be part of a committee or take on some administrative rolls please contact us and let us know. We need your help.
